Description
The opioid crisis does not only affect the younger populations. With chronic pain being one of the largest complaints among older adults, it seems reasonable that they would require relief to be a productive part of society. Learn how this can prove to be a hazard as the aging body changes causing complications, along with addiction. See the CDC recommendations for the use of opioids for older adults, and learn how to advocate for your patient, yourself or the one you care for as it relates to managing pain without the complications of the risks.
