Join Shining Abilities for a day of fun on the greens at the 2nd Annual Golf Outing on Saturday, July 26th at the Fox Lake Country Club. 9:00 am shotgun start, your tickets get you 18 holes of golf with a cart followed by lunch, presentation, and auction. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

Shining Abilities is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization that serves families in Lake and McHenry Counties through recreational programming for individuals with developmental disabilities and special needs. With the diverse range of opportunities, from recreational activities and crucial life skill development to participation in Special Olympics. Shining Abilities also offers a vocational-based day program for adults 18 and older with developmental disabilities, recognizing the critical need for continued support after individuals age out of traditional schooling. Through community outings, vocational training, and a focus on individual achievements, Shining Abilities helps their friends to shine within their communities and lead fulfilling, productive lives.

Through community supporters and individual donations, Shining Abilities is able to provide a variety of opportunities and services to families to help foster and promote fulfilling lives. Proceeds from Shining Abilities' 2nd Annual Golf Outing will help cover direct program costs like purchasing a second vehicle to allow our grow group to still be part of the community.
